Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
My name is Jodie Morgan, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida Department of Health. I am a graduate of Argosy University holding Master of Arts in both Forensic Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. I was recruited by Teach for America where my corps was sent to Jacksonville where I worked as an ESE teacher in an urban high school environment for 3 years. When moving to Orlando I did my internship for school at a domestic violence outreach center where I did crisis counseling, working in helping the survivors to heal and rebuild their life. I was raised in the mountains of Tennessee and consider myself an outdoor enthusiast, hiking part of the Appalachian Trail as well as kayaking through many of the waterways in North Georgia, Tennessee and the saltwater waterways in Florida. I identify with the LGBTQ+ community and my goal when completing my degrees was to give back to my community. I approach counseling like hiking, a beautiful journey with you as the expert, front and center. With that in mind each person is unique and has their own needs and through this therapeutic approach a plan will be devised to meet your needs and goals. |
